Advocate & District Volunteer Fire Dept second annual Winter Carnival, 11a.m. to 2 p.m., Flea Market, Games of Chance, Cake Walk, Canteen Facilities and at 7:00 p.m. Musical Entertainment all at the Advocate Fire Hall.
Pancake supper
The Nappan United Church will host its annual pancake day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pancakes, sausages, beans, maple syrup, sweets and tea and coffee.
Benefit
A benefit for Robert Hurley, who is battling cancer, will be held at the Maccan Legion beginning at 7 p.m. The event will feature local talent, a silent auction, 50/50 draw and more.

The Cumberland County Geneology Centrewill have Dr. Jennifer Harris of Mt. A. as its guest speaker at 7 at Trinity St. Stephen United Church in Amherst.
