Well, there isn’t much for news going on as everyone is busy with Christmas preparations, but I would like to leave you with this christmass message...

The Spencer’s Island annual Christmas Eve Service will be held Friday, Dec. 24, at 4 p.m. Once again there will be special music including the Branch of the Living Christmas Tree Youth Choir and several soloists, as well as the favourite Christmas Story, The Birth of Christ, narrated by Roxanne Morris and Arden Fletcher. Please plan to attend this service as all are welcome.
The New Salem Union Church is going to need a new roof and other repairs next year, so in the spring they will be doing fundraising and will also accept donations at any time if given.
I am now selling Parrsboro Community Radio Bingo Cards. If you have high speed service you can play online at home or if you wish you can come to the library on Thursday evenings to play. Bingo is from 6-7 p.m. The cards are $4 for a book of two cards for five games.
Badminton is back for the winter season on Monday and Thursday evenings at the Advocate school at7 p.m.
If you want to lose weight, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Wednesday at the Advocate Fire Hall at 7 p.m.
I also wanted to mention the gym equipment that is available at the log building. The cost is $1 to use the equipment which consists of two tread mills, a universal weight machine, an eliptical machine and a stationary bike. The hours are Wednesday 10 a.m. to noon and1-4 p.m., Thursday 2-8 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
