Secret Santa Bazaar

From 7-8:30 p.m. the Amherst library will be showing the 1942 musical comedy, Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby. No admission charge and

Read your fines away


Calling all teens! Read Your Fines Away @ your Library from 3 - 6 p.m., students with fines in grades 7 to 12 will be able to drop in to the Springhill Library, read for 30 minutes and have their fines forgiven.

Twisted Stitchers


The Twisted Stitchers will meet at the Four Fathers Memorial Library from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Join the drop-in stitchery group. Bring your project to work on at this monthly informal get-together. Read Away Your Fines


Students with library fines in Amherst can read them away for one day only from 3 to 7 p.m. Grades 7-12. Read for 30 minutes and have their fines forgiven.

Food and a movie


NSCC Business students present the award-winning documentary “Manufactured Landscapes.” The film examines global and environmental issues around consumer behaviour. One Show Only: 10 a.m. at the Paramount Theatre. Admission: Donation of non-perishable food items for the Amherst Food Bank.

A benfit will be held at the Tidnish Community Centre with friends and family of Heidi & Holger Renner to help during Heidi’s recnet brain tumor diagnosis. The event will take place between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.
