School to hold Pizza Night Saturday

Hi again everyone from the outer edges of Advocate Harbour with the beautiful view of the harbour and Bay of Fundy. I hope you've all had a wonderul week.

Margaret Bennett, sister of the late Hartley Robinson, would like to give thanks to all who gave support, cards, food and donations. She says thank you all and bless you all.

Sharon and Lindsay Corbin have returned to their home in Massachusettes after spending the summer at their home here.

On Sunday, Leighann and Barry Melanson and myself were supper guests of Trudy and John Melanson. Also present were Trudy's mom, Bev White of Fox River, Trudy's sister, Vickie White and her son Jesse and his girlfriend Innikki Belajac of Bridgewater and Barbara Dawn Melanson and her son, John David.

Ina and Doug Spicer spent the weekend in Halifax visiting their daughter Darlene and her husband Mark Hubley and also visited Micky and George Reid.

On Friday, Oct. 29 I will be doing Halloween crafts, stories and treats at the Advocate library from 3-4 p.m. The cost is free and wear a costume if you like. Please call 392-2214 to register by Oct. 28th.

Pizza Night will be held on Friday, Oct. 29 from the Advocate school. To pre-order, please call 392-2607.

On Saturday, Oct. 30 a Halloween dance will be held at the Advocate Fire Hall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. You must be 19 or over to attend. There will be designated drivers.

On Sunday, Oct. 31, church will be held at the New Salem Union Church.

On Friday, Nov. 5 we will be showing the classic movie, It Happened one Night at the log building on Mills Road beginning at 7 p.m. The cost is free and feel free to bring a drink and a snack.

On Sunday, Nov. 7 the Remembrance Day service will be held at the log building on Mills Road at 11 a.m. A lunch will be held after the service.

The next Spencer's Island Bingo will be held on Friday, Nov. 5 at the Advocate Fire Hall at 7 p.m. Come on out for an evening of fun. If we can't get attendance up, Bingo will not be able to be held this coming winter.
