Musical

The Amherst Lions’ & Lioness’ Clubs, working with SADD, are presenting Frenchy’s The Musical in the ARHS - Susan Taylor Theatre at 8 p.m. For tickets call 667-0921. Shows also run Oct. 29 and 30.

Book club

The Rise N’ Shine Book Club meets from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Four Fathers Memorial Library. For more information or to register please call 667-2549. In October the group will be discussing “The Book Thief”

Pumpkin party

Haunted House

A Halloween Haunted House will be held at the Cumberland County Museum and Archives on Church Street from 6 to 9 p.m. The event also takes place Oct. 30.

Teens and Truth (T-N-T)

@Calendar - Description:The Amherst Open Bible Church welcomes all teens ages 13 and up to its T-N-T Group which will meet at7 p.m. at 131 Victoria St. where they can fellowship with other teens, take part in sword drills and study the Bible. Bazaar

The Northport School Bazaar will be held from 8:30 a.m. – noon and will feature an auction, barbecue, bake table, yard sale, kids’ games. Donations of baked goods or sale items greatly appreciated. Drop off at school or call Tanya 667-1927 or John 661-2130.

Halloween Haunting

A Halloween Haunting will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Spring Street Elementary School. Be sure to wear your Halloween costume. All activities are free of charge and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Call 667-7250 for more information.

Benefit

A benefit will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall to support Kim McLeod who has a rare terminal illness (amyloidosis) requiring her to travel to Boston. Money raised with help cover medical and travel expenses.

A Christmas sale will be held at the Fenwick Church Hall from 10 a.m. to noon.

Lunch and bake sale

Ladies Circle Luncheon & Bake Sale and Christmas gift tree will be held at the Baptist Church in Oxford, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Fall Dinner

A Fall Roast Chicken Dinner 4-5:30 FPW Firehall in Port Greville. Roast chicken, potatoes and fall vegetables, assorted pies, tea and coffee.

Fall Fair

Amherst Lioness 12th annual Fall Fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Amherst Lions Hall. Admission - Non -perishable food item for food bank. Lunch available, door prizes.

Harvest Supper

Sunrise Trinity United Church in Amherst Head will host a Harvest Supper and Sale from 4 to 6 p.m. The menu features ham, potato scallop, beans, bread, rolls and apple crisp. The sale will have crafts, baked goods preserves and more.

Food Festival

@Calendar - Description:An international food festival will be held at First Baptist Church in Amherst from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fundraiser will offer foods from Philippines, Thailand, Congo, China, El Salvador, Italy, Ireland and Canada. Call 667-2001.
