Puberty party for boys
Puberty parties for boys aged 9-12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bring a parent and together learn about puberty changes through fun activities, video presentation and discussion. Participants must pre-register by calling the Sexual Health Centre at 667-7500.
A benefit for Derek Deegan who is currently in treatment for Atopic Dermatistis will be held at the Lions Den from 8 p.m. until midnight. Live bands, auction, 50/50 and door prizes.
Pot luck supper and cards at Sunrise Seniors Hall, Lower Shinimicas,
6 p.m. Bring your own dishes and favourite food.
An auction 45’s game will be held at the Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St. starting at 7:30 p.m. Everyone welcome, no partner required. Light lunch supplied. Call 667-9311 for more info.

Variety show and supper
A variety show and roast beef supper supporting Ottawa House Museum will take place at 5 p.m. - Supper at 6 p.m., Show to follow
at Parrsboro Legion Hall.
A casserole supper will be held at the Diligent River Community Hall from 4 to 6 pm.
Mothers Of Angels will meet at

Evening of Song
An evening of song in support of the local food bank will be held at 7 p.m. at the Amherst Wesleyan Church at 50 Cornwall avenue. Contact 667-9126 for more information.

“Little Nashville” is playing at Renwick United Church in Linden

at 7 p.m. at the Brookdale Church Hall.

Bake sale/bazaar fundraiser
A bake sale/bazaar fundraiser in support of the Cumberland United Way at the Scotiabank on Victoria Street.
The event continues Oct. 21 and 22.
A fish chowder or turkey supper and dessert luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Immanuel United Church,
25 Hickman St.
Classic Movie Night will take place the Miners Memorial Library, Springhill at 7 p.m., showing the 1958 romantic comedy “Bell, Book and Candle starring: James Stewart, Kim Novak and Jack Lemmon.
