Craft and Bake sale

A craft and bake sale will be held at the Northport Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fall Fun Day

The Amherst Wesleyan Church is hosting its Fall Fun Day at 50 Cornwall Ave., near the Lions Park from noon until 3 p.m. Rain or shine. Lots of food and games.

Cribbage

Musical afternoon

A musical afternoon will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Sunrise Seniors Hall in Lr. Shinimicas.

Open house/barbecue

River Hebert Fire Department will host an Open House from 1to 4 p.m. Free barbecue for the community. Pumper Joe will be there.

Meeting

Cumberland County Riders ATV Club will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Brookdale Church Hall.

Parade Night

The 272 Amherst Army Cadets will host parade night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Amherst Armories.

Darts

The Amherst 50+ Club mixed dart league

begins its season at 1 p.m., at

the hall on 52 Croft St. For info, 667-1572.

Scouting registration

Registration for 4th Amherst Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be held at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Amherst, in the basement.

Community Luncheon

A community luncheon will be held at noon, on the menu this month is Clam Chowder, Chili, Soup, Dessert, Tea & Coffee. Sponsored by the A.D.D.A.

Pick n’ Grin fundraiser for the LA Animal Shelter, 7 p.m. at the Tidnish Community Hall.

Blueberry Supper

Collingwood Fire Hall will play host to a blueberry supper from 4 to 6 p.m. On the menu: Chili, Baked Beans, Brown Bread, Rolls, Blueberry Pie or Blueberry Cheesecake, and beverage. Take-outs available.

Golf fundraiser

The Fourth Annual Morgan Porter Golf Tournament begins at 1 p.m. at the Amherst Golf Club. Texas scramble best ball. Lots of prizes, barbecue. Register before Sept. 15. ATV Poker Rally

Registration for a fundraising poker rally begins at 10 a.m. at Keith and June Blenkhorn’s Camp in Williamsdale, N.S. Proceeds for the Oxford Tim Horton’s Jr. Colts hockey team. Call 667-0889 for information.
