Congratulations to local graduates

First, let me congratulate Evan Canning and Bailee Cormier upon completing Grade 12. Evan plans to continue his studies in Truro and Bailee in community college in Springhill.

Alicia Canning and Morgan Cormier have been promoted to Grade 10.

Last weekend, Carl and Linda MacNamara, Cape Breton, spent time with Linda’s mom, Rubie. While here, they visited in Advocate with Max Bowden.

Lois Kennedy, New Glasgow, spent the weekend with Eileen Allen.

Frank and Elizabeth Hachkowski of Canora, Sask. were callers on us during the week.

The Canning homestead was a happening place during the week, with reunions and memory making. Troy and Michelle, Ryan, Ethan and Brianna Dodsworth of Ottawa, John and Helen Dodsworth of Chezzetcook, Marjorie Gallant, Amherst, Lisa, Jacob and Katie, Amherst, and many other family members were part of the fun, with card playing, ring toss and darts being enjoyed. Many special meals and memories were part of a happy time.

Don’t forget the yard sales on Saturday, July 10 from Wharton to Brookville.

Blain and Jackie, Amherst, were weekend campers at the beach. Roy and I joined them on Friday night for a bonfire and all the goodies that go along with it.

Our great-grandson, Grayson, Amherst, spent Sunday visiting his Nanny Janet and Papa Roy. Travis Canning, on leave from the armed forces, is spending some time with his mom Marjorie and dad Brian.

Take time to live, laugh and be happy, for time is a fleeting thing.
