Travelers entertain at birthday party

Randy, Greg and daughter Danielle Thompson, and Marion Thompson, Little River, were supper guests with Darrel and Sheila Thompson on Sunday.

Following supper, Joan Sears and Jocelyn Wheeler, Amherst, came to visit.

A recent visitor with the Thompsons was Fred Vansnick, B.C. He told them about his drive across Canada by himself, which he enjoyed very much.Sylvia Oulton, Northport, visited with her mother, Olive Jackson, on Friday.

Get well prayers go out to Margaret Casey, recovering from emergency surgery in Halifax hospital on Saturday night. Douglas and Ruby Kirkpatrick attended the funeral for the late Roma Field at Trinity United Church on Saturday.

Holly King and daughter Dana of Amherst visited with her parents, Douglas and Ruby Kirkpatrick, on Sunday.

Douglas and Ruby Kirkpatrick accompanied Wilson and Edith Hunsley, Little River, to Truro on Monday afternoon, where Wilson had a doctor’s appointment.

Bea DeRoche, Brookdale,and Darlene Blackada, Bridgewater, were calling on Elda Lowther on Friday.

The Warwicks hosted a lobster supper on Friday night. Those attending were Sue Jonah, Peterbough, Ont., Richard and Diane Wood, Riverview, N.B., Gloria Dickinson, Amherst, and Wallace Hollis.

Sunday was a busy day indeed as the Travelers entertained at Ella Greeno’s 90th birthday party and were special guests at the Association Hymn Sing at the Oxford Baptist Church.

Thought: Its always best to keep your temper- no body else wants it!
