April 8 Seniors Expo The fifth annual Seniors Expo will be held at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre in Springhill from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

April 9 Pot Luck Supper/Cards A pot luck supper followed by an evening of cards will be held at the Sunrise  Senior Citizens Centre in Lower Shinimicas at 6 p.m. Bring your own dishes and favourite food(s).

King’s Kids The Amherst Open Bible Church welcomes kids ages five to 12 to its King’s Kids club, which meets at 7 p.m., at 131 Victoria St. West. Call 667-7271 or e-mail pastor@aobbc.com.

April 10 Cribbage A cribbage tournament will be held at RCAF Assoc., 105 Cumberland Wing on Havelock St., in Amherst. Registration at 1 p.m., play begins at 1:30 p.m. Call 667-9262.

Pancake Supper A pancake supper will be held at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church in Springhill at 4 p.m. Take-outs available. Call 597-3181 for delivery.

Hook-In The Rags to Riches hook-in will be held at the Main Street Baptist Church in Sackville, N.B., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All welcome.

Breakfast The Knights of Columbus will serve breakfast from 8-11 a.m., at their Community Hall, 5 Robie St., Amherst. Call Jack Leger at 545-2418 or the Community Hall at 667-8252.

April 11 45s An Auction 45s tournament will be held at the Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St., at 1:30 p.m. Registration at 1 p.m. Please bring a partner.

Musical Afternoon A musical afternoon will be held at the Sunrise Senior Citizens Centre in Lower Shinimicas from 1-5 p.m.

Musical Evening A musical evening will be held at Renwick United Church in Linden at 7 p.m. Proceeds to support the church.

April 13 Community Luncheon A community luncheon will be served at the Log Building on Mills Road in Advocate at noon.

Meeting Northport Community Organization’s annual general meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., at the Northport Community Centre. All welcome.

Exhibit The Cumberland County Museum and Archives is presenting Showcase Productions’ 20th anniversary exhibit starting today. Call 667-2561.

Developmental Screening A screening of your child’s speech, health, nutrition and dental development  (ages 18-40 months) is being offered by Public Health from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 5 Robie St., Amherst. Call 667-3319 to make an appointment.

Bottle Drive The 4th Amherst Cubs will be conducting a bottle drive in Amherst from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m. Residents are urged to leave their bottles by their doors.

Kids Fashion Show A kids fashion show will be held at  6 p.m., at the Linden Community Hall. Donations to the hall accepted at the door.

Musical Evening A musical evening will be held at the Sunrise Senior Citizens Centre in Lower Shinimicas from 8-11:15 p.m.

Salad Take-out Rodney Hall will be serving a salad take-out from 10 a.m.-noon. Call 597-2677 or 597-8728 to order. Delivery to shut-ins available.

April 18 Pancake Supper A pancake supper will be served at Lorneville Unied Church from 4-6 p.m. Proceeds for church purposes.

Take-out Dinner The Minudie Heritage Association will serve take-out dinners after 11:30 a.m. Call Esther at 251-2424.

Mothers of Angels Mothers of Angels will meet at 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Amherst.

Memorial Hymn Sing A memorial hymn sing will be held at Grace United Church in Port Greville at  7 p.m. Refreshments to follow. All welcome.

April 19 Meeting Cumberland Pride Society will hold its annual general meeting at 7 p.m., at Heartz Hall at Trinity St. Stephen’s United Church. All welcome.

Food Drive The Cumberland Y Service Club and Amherst Y’s Menettes will hold a door-to-door food drive from 10 a.m.-noon. If you’re not home, please leave food bag(s) on front step.

Rummage Sale Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church Women will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m.-noon at the church on 1 Ratchford St., Amherst.
