SPRINGHILL - Angie Brown was the type of person that you'd never forget if you met her, say her friends and family.
"She always had a smile, she was very outgoing. She loved life," said Mike Gerrior, Brown's brother.
Brown passed away three years ago after battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
After her death, her friends and family decided they would organize an annual fundraiser in her memory.
So, for the third year in a row, Cumberland County residents came together to raise money for ALS over the weekend.
Participants collected pledges leading up to the five-kilometre walk in and around Springhill's downtown core.
