ST. ANDREWS, N.B. - A man says he's been banned from a Tim Hortons outlet in New Brunswick because of his complaints about the decaf.
Jimmy Craig told the CBC he voiced his displeasure on several occasions about "burnt" decaffeinated coffee at the store in St. Andrews.
Craig says that has earned him a lifetime ban from that outlet and the one in nearby St. Stephen.
He says that when he got a meeting with the owner, Edwin Dow, he was served with a letter banning him under provincial trespass regulations.
Dow told the CBC his staff tried to please Craig and brewed fresh pots of decaf for him.
He says Craig was upsetting staff and he tired of his complaints, so he banned him.
Craig can only return to the stores if he's on the job as a paramedic and responding to a medical emergency.

If you get a coffee and it's bad - take it back and get a new one. If it is repeatedly bad - DON'T GO BACK! This whole theory of the customer is always right is long gone! If a customer has been wronged make it right - if you do you best to make it right and the customer is being unreasonable - it is time to fire that customer.

I've been served the burnt decaf on many occasions as well. Mr. Craig is correct to complain, why pay for inferior merchandise, even if it is just a cup of coffee .

Sounds like the customer has too much time on his hands. It is just coffee. If you don't like Tims, there is other options - McDonalds (my fave), Second Cup, local vendors. Suck it up Buttercup

It's a tough call. No businessman wants to see his reputation and coffee trashed nor does he want bad publicity.

I have to agree with ALEXIS from Nova Scotia I buy Timmy's from 3 different locations in Amherst and the Drive through is the worse I have ever encountered, the one downtown is excellent and we always get what we ask for. As far as buying other brands, there may be others but most people prefer a good cup of Tims.

I also agree with Alexis and Vince, I found the drive through coffee at Tim's to be the worst of all for burnt taste. I think the problem could be that the staff do not take the time to clean the machines properly or do not clean them at all. I think that it is every persons right to complain if they receive inferior coffee.
