Springhill - When Greg Osowski comes calling its to brighten up your day.
Osowski is canvassing the community's business, charities and not for profit organizations, offering to exchange their existing incandescent light bulbs for energy-saving compact fluorescents - free of charge.
The exchange program, part of Clean Nova Scotia's program funded by Nova Scotia Power, will tentatively run until the end of Feb., Osowski says, and Clean Nova Scotia will visit the Springhill area weekly until the program runs its course. Until then, anything the fits a business model can take advantage of the freebie.
"We did one business earlier and we changed just one light bulb for them, but we did it," Osowski said.
Businesses, churches, and organizations looking to sign up for the light bulb exchange can contact Clean Nova Scotia's Kathy Garrison at 902-420-7949, but some organizations should take note they may be responsible for installation, such as high ceiling churches.
