AMHERST - Nova Scotia-based Wilson's Fuels has purchased the assets for the former West Amherst Petro Canada and will reopen as an Esso gas station in mid-July.

It would be nice if they have cash-and-carry furnace oil like some other locations. That would be a big drawing card around here I'm sure, probably even get people coming from Sackville instead of the other way around.

I also have dined there one time and that was also the last. Poor service poor food,, had to ask for untensils after the meal had been served, and never recieved drinks. Not one of amherst's best thats for sure.

Funny, I had lunch there the other day and thought it was great. Everyone knows restaurants are hit and miss. Some people just like to have something to complain about. I suppose if they put $20 bills in the mashed potatoes some people would complain they weren't $50s.

Too bad it wasn't opening as wilson's gas for the .02 a liter discount for paying cash or debit like other wilson's gas stations.
And what effect will this have on Duffy's Esso I wonder?
