Archway Insurance wins national CAFE award
Members of the Stack family accept the Family Enterprise of the Year Achievement Award for 2013 at the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise gala dinner in Toronto on Saturday. Archway Insurance, which earlier won the Nova Scotia award, won the award over The Dempsey Corporation of Toronto and Canyon Plumbing and Heating of Calgary.
AMHERST – Archway Insurance was the proud recipient of the prestigious Family Enterprise of the Year Achievement award for 2013 presented by the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise at a well-attended gala dinner held at the Sheraton Toronto Hotel & Conference Centre in Toronto on Saturday.
“Receiving CAFE’s 2013 Family Enterprise of the Year Award is a tremendous honour for our family and our employees, many of which have become like family over the years,” said Archway Insurance President Garry Stack.

Over the past 30 years the Stack family of Amherst built Archway Insurance into one of the largest independent insurance brokerages in Atlantic Canada with expertise in all area of insurance including personal, commercial, group and life.
Today, Archway Insurance maintains nine offices in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The Stack family is proud that their family business provides employment to more than 70 people.

Established in 1986, the Family Enterprise of the Year Achievement Award is given annually by CAFE to recognize, celebrate and promote the achievements of Canadian family businesses and the considerable contribution they make to both their local communities and our national economy.
Prior recipients of this prestigious award include both larger companies such as E.D. Smith & Sons Ltd. and Rogers Communications and smaller companies such as Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company and the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
