TRURO - Nova Scotia's finance minister is coming to town next week to hear ideas on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses and grow the economy.
Graham Steele will be in Truro on Monday, Feb. 22 at noon for a 'Back To Balance' luncheon at the Holiday Inn on Prince Street. The event is sponsored by the Truro and District Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 895-6328 or emailing trish@trurochamber.com or lori@trurochamber.com.
Steele will have a free public consultation regarding Back To Balance from 10 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn.
"These meetings will engage Nova Scotians in a dialogue about the financial challenges the province will face over the next number of years," Steele said. "Together we can develop a long-term, multi-year plan to address our fiscal reality and ensure we live within our means."
