TRURO - Have a pet you want to brag about?
Then check out the local SPCA's annual pet photo contest and give it a shot.
The SPCA is in the process of gearing up for its fourth annual pet calendar, for which pet owners are encouraged to submit their favourite pet pictures.
Pictures can be mailed to: Colchester SPCA, PO Box 914, Truro, N.S., B2N 5G7 or they can be dropped off at the shelter at 408 Industrial Ave., Tuesdays to Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
A clear copy of pictures is required. Pictures will not be returned but can be picked up at the shelter.
The only rule is that people are not to appear in the pictures.
The cost is $5 per picture with a deadline for entries set for April 17.
All entrants need to write their pet's name, owner's name and full mailing address on the back of each photo.
Holiday theme shots, such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentines or Canada Day and Saint Patrick's Day, are encouraged.

What kind of CONTEST is this? You pay $5.00 to enter and NO prize is mentioned. Why dosn't the SPCA just ask for a donation or is this just poor writing in the part of DAILY NEWS ?

SPCA are great and could use all the help they can get...It maybe also the case for THE DAILY NEWS.
