Police find $45,000 worth of stolen furniture taken in N.B. after raid in N.S.

TRURO, N.S. - Police in Nova Scotia say they've recovered most of the $45,000 worth of furniture stolen from a company in New Brunswick before Christmas.

About 15 police officers were involved in searching five properties on Tuesday in the Debert and Portapique areas near Truro.

A tractor-trailer loaded with furniture was stolen on Nov. 24 from CM Munroe Ltd. in Saint John.

RCMP say they believe they have recovered 90 per cent of the property.

Also seized was a diesel engine and transmission, a large quantity of alcohol that police believe was stolen from a liquor store in Upper Stewiacke, and stolen power tools.

Police say they interviewed a man but no charges have been laid.
