AMHERST - Changes to the current Acadian Lines bus runs won't affect those stops in Amherst.

Manon Piche, communications manager with Montreal-based Orleans Express, said there are currently three runs between Moncton and Halifax, and Halifax and Moncton on a daily basis, 365 days a year.

"Those three runs are mainly local runs," she said.

"We are planning to increase that corridor to five runs a days, except that one would be local, two would be semi-express and two will be express runs."

Piche said the Amherst stop will be a part of the local run and the two semi-express runs, meaning Amherst won't gain or lose anything in the changes.
