ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The RCMP expect to release information Wednesday on the results of an autopsy on remains found last week in a burned-out house in Sheshatshiu in Labrador.
Sgt. Wayne Newell says the Mounties expect to receive a report from Dr. Simon Avis, the province's chief medical examiner, today but details won't be made public until Wednesday.
An abandoned house in the Labrador community burned down on Dec. 30.
The dwelling hadn't been lived in for some time, but police say it appears to have been used by young people in the area.
When the fire broke out, it was believed everyone was accounted for but the remains were later found.
Police later said a 15-year-old boy was missing, but it hasn't been determined if the remains are those of the missing boy or if they are human.
