Subsidiary of Churchill Corp awarded $114 million in new contracts out west

CALGARY - Churchill Corp (TSX:CUQ) announced Monday that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded $144 million worth of new construction contracts in western Canada.
Stuart Olson Constructors will replace social infrastructure in southern Alberta and British Columbia for several project owners over the next three years.
In one contract, Alberta Health Services chose Stuart Olson to expand the Red Deer Cancer Centre for $41 million. The project is scheduled to begin in December and wrap up in November 2011.
In a second separate contract for $66 million with the City of Calgary, Stuart Olson will build a community centre to house branches of the city's public library and YMCA Calgary. Construction on the Genesis Centre of Community Wellness starts immediately and is expected to finish in 2011.
In a third contract, Stuart Olson will build a Roman Catholic Church in Port Coquitlam, B.C. for $6.5 million by Sept. 2010.
The Churchill Corp. provides building construction, industrial construction and maintenance services throughout western Canada.
Its shares closed at $15.83 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
