A roast pork loin dinner will be served at the F.P.W. fire hall in Port Greville from 4:30-6 p.m.
Oak Island Mystery
A guest speaker on the Oak Island Mystery will be at Ottawa House Museum in Parrsboro at 2 p.m.
Salmon Barbecue
A salmon barbecue will be held at St. George's Anglican Church Hall in Parrsboro from 1-5 p.m.

Dessert Tea
Ottawa House Museum in Parrsboro will hold its last dessert tea of the season from 2-5 p.m.
Church Service/Breakfast
An outdoor ecumenical church service, followed by a pancake and sausage breakfast, will be held at Collins Field, 8098 Highway 209, at 9:30 a.m.

Cribbage Tournament
A cribbage tournament will be held at the Springhill Senior Citizens Centre
(4 McDougal St.) at 7:30 p.m. Bring a partner.
Sept. 8
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School begins today at Amherst Wesleyan Church at 6 p.m., and runs until Sept. 12 for ages 5-12. Call 667-9126 to register.

Blueberry Supper
A Blueberry supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Collingwood Fire Hall. Sponsored by the Millvale United Church Women.
Back to School Crafts
The Springhill library will be making back-to-school crafts and read the story "Arthur's Back to School Surprise" from
3-4 p.m. Ages 6-12. Register by Sept. 4 by calling 597-2211.

War Time Supper
The Parrsbrough Shore Historical Society will hold a war time supper at Trinity United Church Hall from 5-7 p.m.
Sept. 12
The Cumberland County Heritage Network will hold its annual general meeting at the Age of Sail Heritage Museum in Port Greville at 10 a.m. Call 667-8126.
Farm Equipment Show
The annual Wallace Bay antique farm equipment show will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the intersection of Thompson Road and Route 6, about six kilometres east of Pugwash. Call 243-3534 or 243-2456.
Sept. 13
Terry Fox Run
The Terry Fox Run for cancer research begins at 9 a.m., with grandparents and a family walk at McDonald's in Amherst, and the official run at 1 p.m., at the Cumberland YMCA. Registration at 12:30 p.m.
Open House
The River Hebert Fire Department will hold an open house from 1-4 p.m. Local music, ring toss and barbecue.
Sept. 14
The monthly meeting of the Royal Canadian Legion, Joggins branch, will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Open House
The 272 Amherst Army Cadet Corps will hold an open house for ages 12-19 at the Armories from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Call 667-4713.
Sept. 16
Immanuel United Church will be serving a turkey or ham salad plate and blueberry desserts from 4-6 p.m.
