BEDFORD, N.S. - Two days before Nova Scotians go the polls, Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil is appealing to undecided voters to give his third-place party a chance.
McNeil, who's running in his first provincial election as the party's leader, says he's hearing that many people are still unsure how they will vote on Tuesday.
McNeil predicts there will be some surprises on election night, particularly in the Halifax area, where he says the Liberals are involved in a number of "very tight" races.
McNeil, who's spending most of the day in the Halifax area, campaigned earlier with candidate Kelly Regan in Bedford-Birch Cove - a seat currently held by Conservative Len Goucher.
McNeil also planned to campaign door-to-door with Liberal incumbent Diana Whalen in Halifax Clayton Park.
Federal Liberal MP Ken Dryden is expected to lend a high-profile boost to McNeil's campaign over the next couple of days, with plans to visit a number of key Halifax-area ridings.
