HALIFAX - Nova Scotia Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil has detailed his election promise to help small businesses access the money they need to operate and grow.
Campaigning in Halifax today McNeil outlined a micro-credit lending program that would make loans of up to $25,000 available through Nova Scotia Business Inc.
McNeil says accessing capital is a major hurdle for small business owners and his micro-credit proposal is the solution.
He says small business employs half of all Nova Scotians and the Liberals are trying to help owners thrive in the new economy that will emerge at the end of the current downturn.
