STEWIACKE - An East Hants municipal councilor will
be the Liberal candidate for Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley
in the provincial election.
Willy Versteeg, the former president of the Nova Scotia Federation of
Agriculture, was hand-picked to run by Liberal leader Stephen McNeil.
"Willie's expertise in rural economic development and agriculture
issues make him an incredibly qualified candidate to represent the people of Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley," said McNeil. For more see Friday's Truro Daily News.

I like this string a vote for the fiberals is one less for the Cons, nice bit of vote splitting.

    BTW. ANDERSON and Reg,
are you demeaning Lenore as an actor
or as a woman.Either is not very liberal.
If you think the measure of a man is the thickness of his wallet or letters after his name, you don't think much---

I agree with Mcneil, Versteeg is a solid candidate. The Liberals are looking better every day.

Absolutely 100% correct Anderson. Hopefully people will look at the candidates ability to do the job / fill the cabinet postings well before they vote.

Versteeg in Agriculture, Hagell in the Justice post. This area will be a powerhouse in a Liberal government.

This is what the NDP just doesn't understand. To have a quality government you have to have quality candidates.

As the former President of the NS Fed of Agriculture, I think Versteeg would be a superb rep. at the legislature

Another parachute candidate for the grits.....Are there NO liberals in Colchester Musquodoboit??? Every election since early 1990's the liberals had to parachute in a candidate.

    Neither.

I'm saying Lenore isn't qualified for the job. Thanks for helping clear that up.
