MONTAGUE, P.E.I. - A P.E.I. seafood processor is looking for more employees before the May 1 start of the lobster season.
Ocean Choice International is anticipating a shortfall of workers as it gears up for the season.
The company is the largest fish processor on the Island and has an $8-million annual payroll with sales to 20 countries.
Spokesman Linus Bungay says Ocean Choice won't process fish products at its Beach Point plant this season and intends to concentrate its operation in Souris.
The company usually brings in hundreds of workers from Newfoundland but that workforce is dwindling.
Ocean Choice is bringing in Russian workers, as well as some from Thailand, but still expects to be short.
