Two fires leave 29 homeless overnight in Saint John, N.B.; no injuries

SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Two separate fires forced at least 29 people from their homes in Saint John, New Brunswick last night.
Flames ripped through adjoining units in the Fairville area on the city's west side.
Eleven adults and three children were forced to flee the buildings, all of which were extensively damaged.
A nearby home sustained smoke and water damage leaving a couple and four children without shelter.
Earlier in the evening fire damaged a 12-unit building in the city's downtown area putting 15 people on the street.
The Red Cross has arranged for emergency shelter for those not staying with family or friends.
There were no serious injuries.
