Power corporation announces power outage

To repairs lines damaged by ice storm

AMHERST - Nova Scotia Power has announced a planned power outage tonight (Thursday) for between five to 15 minutes beginning at 11 p.m.
The outages will allow power crews to complete some important repairs to power lines damaged by Monday's ice storm.
The affected areas include:
East Pleasant Street
Albion Street north of the malls
Albion Street, Amherst Industrial Park.
James Street and West Victoria to Amherst Point.
Northeast Amherst
Along the Tyndal Road
John Black Road
Highway 6 to Shinimicas
Amherst Shore from Tidnish to Linden
MacDonald Road
Along the Old Halifax Road to Mansfield
Along the Beckwith Road to Port Howe
