Rivals running scared from Somebeachsomewhere

It appears there is a beach scare in Ontario, especially among the owners of three-year-old Ontario sired pacing colts.
Only eight horses declared in for Sunday's gold eliminations of the Ontario Sires Stakes at Mohawk Raceway near Torornto, eliminating the need for elimintion races. All eight horses will advance to the gold final on Aug. 11th when the purse will be raised to $180,000.
The fact that trainer Brent MacGrath had announced Somebeachsomewhere would be entering the Ontario Sires Stakes event was enough to discourage many others.
Mohawk Raceway, wanting to capitalize on the appearance of Somebeachsomewhere is offering a $50,000 event for three-year-old pacing colts on its Sunday night program, which will be simulcast at Truro Raceway.
Six of the eight entries in the Ontario gold final are starters on Sunday night. Armbro Horatio and Deuce Seelster (Jody Jamieson) are expected to provide the stiffest competition for Somebeachsomewhere, who will be making his first start since his heart-breaking 1:47 loss in the Meadowlands?Pace.
Trainer Brent MacGrath has declared his super colt is "ready" to return to action.
