AMHERST - The Amherst Regional High School Vikings hockey team play two games against the Hants East Tigers this weekend.

"They're one of the new teams in the league," said Vikings coach Wayne MacKenzie. "They're a very good team but if we play smart hockey and stick to our system, and don't run around, we have a chance of winning on any given night."

All he asks from his team is to give 100 per cent.

"The game we played in Westville last weekend we lost 4-3 but the boys played hard," said MacKenzie. "You don't like to lose but the boys played hard, so I don't mind losing a game like that. With games like that if often comes down to who gets the lucky bounces."

Tonight's game starts at 8:15 p.m. at Amherst Stadium, and Saturday's game is in Hants East at 8 p.m.

"The boys hit hard and there's usually a lot of scoring, and that's what the fans like, so we hope lots of people come out to watch us play."
