SPRINGHILL - Ron Reynolds is not taking any team for granted.

As the Cumberland County Blues prepare to host the Glace Bay Miners in Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League action tonight, he's looking for a big effort out of his players.

"There are no easy games in this league and they'll give us a challenge," Reynolds said.

Game time at the Richard Calder Arena is 7:30 p.m.

The Miners are a new team in the league after picking up the pieces of the former Cape Breton Canadians club that was kicked out of the league several weeks ago.

The Miners lost 4-2 to the Pictou County Scotians last Sunday, but defeated the Brookfield Elks on Saturday in Brookfield.

Reynolds said his club has to be prepared for the opening faceoff if it wants to be successful.

"If they want to get first place in the league or the division they have to be ready to play and if you have a chance to win you have to take it," Reynolds said. "You can't lay back against a team like Glace Bay. They are very well organized for just a new team."

The Blues will be without Brandon Grimes, who suffered a concussion against Brookfield on Tuesday night.

The Blues return to action next Friday when they host the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates.
