Joggins motocross racer Damon Burbine finished first in both of his 65 cc and young (ages 7-11) 85 cc class motos this past September at the Riverglade Speedway in the fifth and final round of the the CMRC Atlantic Fall Series. He just turned ten on Christmas Day.

Deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences are sent out to the family and friends of River Hebert native Carol Purdy who passed away on January 8. She was 56.

Local motocross racer Damon Burbine, who just turned 10 on Christmas Day, has been featured in the January/February edition of MX and Off-Road magazine.

“We think it’s awesome to have Paul Jordan at the races to take pictures and do articles like that,” stated Damon’s father Jason. “We owe a lot to Paul. Damon’s dream is to continue to be at the top and continue right to the pro ranks, which is a reality seeing the talent this kid has with only being on the bike once a week.”
