Tidnish Times with Richard Plett

The Art of Quilting will be taking place every Thursday in January from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Tidnish Community Centre. All are welcome, come on out and learn a new skill or just begin a new hobby.

Fitness will be the theme every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in January from 8:45 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Tidnish Community Centre. On Friday’s fitness will include line dancing for your pleasure.

Two sessions of crib are planned in January at the Tidnish Community Centre. The dates for these events are January 11 and 25th and both are on a Saturday and take place from 1 until 3 p.m.

Did you overindulge yourself a little too much over the holidays in good food and treats? If so you are in luck; Taking Pounds Off Sensibly (TOPS) will be meeting every Thursday from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. for the remainder of January at the Tidnish Community Centre.

Yoga will be taking place every Monday from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Monday in January at the Tidnish Community Centre. Come on out for a stretch and see how limber you really are.

Safe driving will be the topic at this month’s Seniors Lunch & Learn taking place on January 28th from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Tidnish Community Centre. Seems like a very appropriate topic for this time of year.

After viewing the once again extremely well done Tidnish Crossroads and Area Newsletter I learned there is a new after school program beginning the second week of January for Grade 4 to Grade 6 students and it is called “After the Bell.” It will run between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The events will be staggered to accommodate school bus arrival times.
