Volunteer supper held at East Cumberland Lodge

Spring has arrived and how fortunate we are that the snow left us without flooding this year.

Vivian Warwick was one of the many volunteers who attended the supper at the East Cumberland Lodge provided on Thursday evening for all the entertainers during the year. They are doing renovations there to make it more convenient for everyone. They also saw three deer near the parking lot close to the home.

Ruby Kirkpatrick was pleased to have her bother Elvie Boyles call from the nursing home in Edmonton last week to wish her a Happy Birthday. Other relatives who came to help her celebrate the special day were Holly, Earl, Adam, and Dana King, Amherst, Leslie and Alice Mae Boyles, Amherst, Arden Kirkpatrick and Joanne Gaudet, Dieppe, N.B.

Helen Estabrooks, Brookdale, spent Saturday afternoon with her mother Elda Lowther.

Vivian and John Warwick were to Truro on Saturday afternoon to celebrate brother Bill Warwick's birthday at the home of Ruth and Dickson Warwick.

Saturday visitors with Olive Jackson were Faye Kavalak, daughter Shelly Parsons, her daughter Lea and Alex Parsons. They also enjoyed a trip to Walter Jackson's sugar woods. Also visiting on Saturday was Sharon Carter, New Glasgow.

We hope all those who have been sick with the flu are feeling better now that the weather is getting warmer.

Saturday supper guests with Darrell and Sheila Thompson were his mother Marion Thompson, and their son Greg Thompson.

Last Sunday, Darrell and Sheila Thompson were supper guests with Doug and Lexie Letcher and Marion Thompson, Amherst.

Saturday evening visitors with The Thompsons were Wendell and Gerry Smith.

On Saturday evening, Ron and Marilyn Thompson, Amherst, visited with Darrell and Sheila Thompson.

Sunday evening visitors with Olive Jackson were Elda Lowther and Vivian Warwick. It was nice to see Olive and we had a great visit.

Food for Thought: If you look like your passport, you probably need the trip!
